Algiz presented a new portable EW system to jam Mavic drones

Ukrainian electronic warfare systems manufacturer Algiz, a participant in the state defence tech cluster Brave1, has developed a new portable EW system — the Algiz AM. It is designed to effectively suppress drones of the Mavic family, including the widely used Mavic 3T.

According to Brave1, the Algiz AM system is already in use on the front line with Ukraine’s Defence Forces, where it has proven effective in combat. A key feature of the system is its 360° directional jamming capability, which enhances performance in dynamic battlefield conditions. The platform is mobile, enabling rapid deployment and high manoeuvrability in the field. It is remotely operated, allowing crews to control it from cover.

Brave1 supported the development team during the codification process, accelerating the system’s integration into military use. The cluster also helped establish direct communication between developers and front-line personnel, allowing the system to be refined based on real combat needs.

The same team previously introduced the Algiz-1T, Algiz-1X, and Algiz-1XM systems, which are designed to counter FPV drones by disrupting control channels across key frequency ranges. Their antennas use a specific polarisation method that ensures equal efficiency against both horizontally and vertically polarised signals.

Mavic-type drones are widely used on the battlefield for real-time reconnaissance. The Mavic 3T is additionally equipped with a thermal imaging sensor, enabling surveillance in low visibility and nighttime conditions.
