Zhuk: a new kamikaze drone by Atarna hits target 67 km away with relay drone support

Ukrainian company Atarna has unveiled its kamikaze drone Zhuk, with a strike range of over 40 km. The drone has not yet been codified, but when paired with a relay UAV, it has already struck enemy targets at a distance of 67 km, Militarnyi reports.

Zhuk is a fixed-wing drone launched from a mobile catapult. It is equipped with target correction systems, and its hardware is regularly updated to counter new types of enemy electronic warfare.

The Zhuk warhead weighs between 1.8 and 2 kg and can be fitted with either fragmentation or shaped-charge munitions, depending on the customer’s operational requirements.

To extend its operational radius, the platform works in tandem with a relay drone, also developed by Atarna. The relay provides a stable control and data transmission channel in complex radio conditions and challenging terrain, maintaining operator contact with the strike UAV over long distances.

Demonstration flights took place at the Brave1 state cluster testing site. Defender Media has previously reported on earlier testing stages and participants.
