Communication system from HIMERA to be integrated into TerMIT UGVs

HIMERA, a Ukrainian developer of tactical communication systems, and Tencore, a Ukrainian manufacturer of unmanned ground vehicles, have announced a partnership. HIMERA’s communication system will be integrated into TerMIT, Tencore’s flagship product.

A statement issued by HIMERA said the two companies will work together to create a stable and secure communication system for the UGV. The companies have not disclosed any further details of the collaboration. “Step by step, we are working to create a unified communication ecosystem for all Ukrainian combat platforms,” the statement said.

HIMERA specialises in the production of tactical, secure radio communication systems. The company’s flagship product is the G1  Pro radio, which uses a pseudo‑random frequency‑hopping system and AES‑256 encryption, making it impossible to intercept or decode communications. HIMERA recently secured its first foreign contract and is already supplying radios to the US Air Force and US Special Operations Forces. The company also recently received a US $100,000 grant from Google.

Tencore is a Ukrainian company that designs and manufactures UGVs. In the 17 months since its inception, the company has grown to 150 employees and currently produces hundreds of TerMIT robots per month. Tencore co‑founder and CEO Maksym Vasylchenko discussed the company’s development in detail in a recent interview with Defender Media.
