Ukrainian Defence Intelligence launches production of “LEGIT” ground robotic platforms

The Legion of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has launched serial production of its own ground robotic platforms, named “LEGIT” — derived from a Ukrainian word meaning a light, pleasant breeze.

The tracked platforms are already being used to deliver supplies, conduct remote mining, and carry out fire missions using a combat module equipped with two infantry grenade launchers.

Footage released by DIU shows the platform operating in various configurations. In its logistics variant, a trailer is attached to transport ammunition, food, or other cargo. In its strike variant, the platform is fitted with a combat module for supporting assault units and destroying enemy fortifications. There is also a kamikaze version, in which an explosive charge is mounted on the vehicle and detonates upon reaching the target.

The system was jointly developed by operators and engineers from the UAV CYCLONE group in cooperation with the Defence Innovation Agency.

It is also worth noting that the Ministry of Defence previously codified and approved for use a modernised version of the TerMIT ground robotic system from Tencore.
