Lviv IT Cluster in cooperation with EveryMatrix launched drone operator training centre in Lviv region
Servicemen from across Ukraine can take part in the programme

A training centre for drone operators has been established in the Lviv region. The project was implemented by the Lviv IT Cluster in cooperation with EveryMatrix and the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The centre offers basic training for military personnel in operating reconnaissance drones, FPV drones, and modified UAVs designed to neutralise aerial targets. The training programme reflects the realities of modern combat missions and is delivered in stages: first with FPV drones, followed by fixed-wing UAVs, which are better suited for intercepting high-speed threats.
Six workstations have been set up for hands-on training, along with a dedicated classroom for theory. Modern equipment has been purchased, including PCs, monitors, control units, drones, VR headsets, and other tools. According to Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster, the centre is fully equipped for simulator-based training and can be expanded further if needed.
Each month, personnel from across Ukraine will attend courses at the centre to improve their UAV operation skills, with a particular focus on responding to current aerial threats.
The training centre was launched as part of the SKY project, an initiative under Victory Projects, with financial support from EveryMatrix. The total implementation cost exceeded UAH 7.3 million.
