Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive mobile drone workshops

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has codified and approved for operational use in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the Nebokray mobile workshops, produced domestically. According to a statement from the department, the workshops are intended for the repair and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the copter type.

The basic version, Nebokray 00, is equipped with only the most essential tools. The fully equipped modification, Nebokray 01, includes a charging station, compressor, laboratory power supply, welding and soldering equipment, tin extractor, ultrasonic cleaning bath with degassing function, 3D printer, filament dryer, personal computer, wireless barcode scanners, grinding and engraving machines, FPV monitor, and radio-frequency power meter.

The mobile workshops enable on-site drone repairs and production, allowing for the rapid restoration and replenishment of the FPV fleet. Autonomous power systems ensure functionality without reliance on external electricity.

Both versions are housed in a metal container mounted on a two-wheel trailer and feature independent heating, lighting, ventilation and air conditioning systems. The interior includes workstations fitted with necessary racks and containers for tool storage.

Weighing between 1.5 and 2.5 tonnes, the workshops can be transported by light tactical military vehicles.

Last week, it was reported that the Nebokray system is already in use by the Typhoon unit. The military highlights its key advantages as efficiency, manufacturability, autonomy, and stealth.
