Who won the Jammer Hackathon by Brave1 and D3

The Brave1 Defense Innovation Cluster and D3 Investment Fund held a three-day hackathon to create anti-drone solutions. More than 70 people attended, and 25 teams formed.

Participants were looking for solutions that would interfere with the operation of commercial drones such as the DJI Mavic 3 or Autel 4T (most commonly used by Russian troops) by cyber-attacking or influencing control protocols and UAV components.

The hackathon also raised the issues of automating the detection of FPV and anonymized commercial drones, direction finding, and automatic tracking.

The teams that demonstrate the best progress in the next month will be able to claim an additional prize fund of $50 thousand.

The winners are:

• The project of control signal suppression/video transmission – $20,000.
• The Himera team with the project of the “FORT” electronic warfare reactive system – $10,000.
• The Pugach team with a means of detecting and spoofing FPV video – $7,000.
• Phantom Defense team with an algorithm for detecting and suppressing UAV control channels and video – $7,000.
• The SPRMT team’s system for supporting radio monitoring of direction finding and countering UAVs – $7,000.

Currently, at least 50 manufacturers are registered in Ukraine, working on more than 100 different electronic warfare (EW) and electronic intelligence systems.
