Vezha, a battlefield video analysis platform that transmits real-time drone feeds and ensures effective engagement of the enemy, has been made available in the DELTA combat system. This will increase the efficiency and accuracy of operations through better interaction and data exchange between drone crews, artillery and command posts.

Vezha gives the Ukrainian military a technological advantage and eliminates dependence on other services. Instead, the enemy is still using third-party video platforms, which are often blocked by their developers or the Russian authorities.

“Thanks to Vezha, the military analyses video from hundreds of UAVs, detects and classifies more than 4,000 intelligence objects every day. Voice communication, joint video decryption and monitoring of drone units’ effectiveness allow our fighters to act quickly and inflict significant losses on the enemy”, tells Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for Digitalisation.

The Vezha module has been added to the DELTA product ecosystem. Authentication through the combat system guarantees secure data exchange and protection against unauthorised access to broadcasts.

The new version of the Vezha mobile app is integrated with the Mission Control UAV scheduling module and avoids FPV drone frequency conflicts. The app is distributed exclusively through MDM (Mobile Device Management), the military equivalent of the App Store or Play Market.

Vezha became part of DELTA through the cooperation of several teams. Initially, the 411th separate battalion “Hawks” as part of the Territorial Defence Forces created the platform for their own needs. Subsequently, the Ministry of Defence’s Innovation Centre joined the creation of a unified video analysis platform based on DELTA, and the Tube and Raven streaming platforms teams contributed their experience and expertise.

The Technology Solutions Scaling Centre created the streaming core, adapting it to field conditions. This significantly accelerated the development and implementation of Vezha in DELTA.

At the moment, the team continues to expand streaming capabilities to include thousands of one-hour broadcasts from different types of drones and cameras. Also improving the artificial intelligence of the Avengers platform for automated video detection of the enemy in challenging conditions, such as camouflage or dense forests.
