More than 30 domestic electronic warfare developments received NATO codification
This will make it possible to use these developments not only in Ukraine but also for international partners

More than 30 electronic warfare (EW) systems produced in Ukraine have been codified according to NATO standards, said Oleh Donets, Head of EW at Brave1, a Defence Tech cluster. This opens up the possibility of using these technologies not only for the needs of the Armed Forces, but also for international partners in the future.
The Brave1 platform currently features more than 180 developments from 120 Ukrainian manufacturers. According to Donets, small companies have merged into a mature market with a professional community that allows them to offer innovative solutions. Since the cluster’s launch, the REB area has been a priority, so Brave1 has been actively supporting it financially.
Over the course of the year, more than 330 projects received grants worth more than $7.5 mln, including 16 developments in the field of EPR with a total funding of about ₴16 mln.
Donets noted the trend towards localisation of production in the EW sector and the development of integrated solutions that are more flexible and combine detection elements, which increases their effectiveness.
“Brave1 is an integration platform for communication between manufacturers and operators. This contributes to the rapid development of the market and the emergence of new technologies that help on the battlefield”.
In conclusion, Donets noted that one of the cluster’s priorities is to cooperate with manufacturers from different fields to create solutions that increase the security of the military and reduce their presence in dangerous areas.
In late May, The Washington Post wrote that russia’s latest electronic warfare developments are making US high-tech weapons less effective in Ukraine.
