Ukrainian UAV Buntar-1 makes first combat flight at the front

The Buntar-1 unmanned aerial vehicle has successfully completed its first combat flight under the guidance of the Buntar Copilot software at a ground control centre. This was reported by Ivan Kaunov, co-founder of Finmap, a startup that develops drones for intelligence.

The mission was conducted near Svatove in Luhansk Oblast, which is known for its strong electronic interference. However, the Buntar-1 was able to maintain stable communication for 98% of the time, while other drones in similar conditions had only 30% connectivity.

This experience will be an important step in further improving the system. A series of new flights of Buntar-1 and other drones are planned for September.

“We are extremely proud of our team. Starting as a small group of enthusiasts, we have grown into a strong team of more than 40 talented professionals. This first flight is a testament to the hard work and dedication of each team member,” said Kaunov.
