The Brave1 defence tech cluster is updating its grant program for defense research and development in Ukraine by increasing funding. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Previously, the grant amounts were $5,000 and $25,000. Now, developers can receive UAH 500K, UAH 1 mln, or UAH 2 mln. Applications can be submitted by Ukrainian manufacturers whose developments have passed a defense expertise and received an overall score and a level of readiness of at least 4 points. The amount of funding depends on this score.

The funds received can be spent on equipment purchases or product development, but all expenses are subject to reporting. In case of violation of the terms, the grant will have to be returned. Applications can be submitted starting May 10 through the USFplatform web portal.

During the year of the cluster’s operation, its members created more than 1,600 developments in 12 areas.
