Ukrainian government allocates additional ₴15.5 billion to purchase 300,000 drones
This will be in addition to the ₴43.3 billion that has already been spent on drones this year

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to provide additional funding of ₴15.5 billion for the purchase of drones. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. This is in addition to the ₴43.3 billion already allocated for drones this year.
The funds will be allocated to the State Special Communications Service, which is responsible for procurement. According to Shmyhal, the money will allow 300,000 drones to be delivered to the Security and Defence Forces.
Earlier, on March 18, the government also allocated ₴5 billion for the needs of the security and defense forces.
In 2024, the country plans to produce thousands of long-range drones capable of reaching distant large cities in russia. Currently, about ten companies are involved in the development of such UAVs.
The Armed Forces have also created a separate branch of the armed forces for drones, which emphasizes their key role in warfare.
