Ukraine and United Kingdom launch joint production of drones

All production will be directed to the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces until the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war

Ukraine and United Kingdom have announced the launch of a new initiative for the joint production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as stated by Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov.

As part of the initiative, the British side will finance the purchase of Ukrainian drones manufactured at British enterprises for the first three years. Joint production of drones will allow British defense companies to quickly develop and manufacture high-tech UAVs.

Until the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war, all production will be directed to the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. After the end of the war, the countries will share the manufactured drones, which will ensure further integration of the defense industrial complexes of Ukraine and Great Britain.

Joint production of UAVs with United Kingdom may be part of the program for the export of Ukrainian defense technologies, previously announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It involves opening production lines abroad and co-financing the production of Ukrainian technological solutions by partners.

It is worth noting that during the latest meeting of Ramstein, UK announced a record amount of that during the last meeting of Ramstein, Britain announced a record amount of £350 million in aid for the supply of drones, which will allow Ukraine to transfer 100,000 drones this year.
