According to a press release<\/a>, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has launched the production of its own FPV drones <\/a>at a state-owned enterprise. The project is being implemented as part of a pilot initiative launched in December last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of a trilateral agreement, a private developer has been granted a licence to manufacture drones at a company run by the Ministry of Defence. The manufactured drones will be sent to units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the production technology is mastered and scaled up, the state-owned enterprise will be able to participate in tenders from the Defence Procurement Agency and other potential customers. The Ministry of Defence has developed a roadmap to launch similar production facilities together with other manufacturers of unmanned aerial systems, which should help increase production capacity and supply drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
