The decision aims to increase transparency and efficiency in defence procurement and is part of the State Anti-Corruption Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Head of the Ministry of Defence\u2019s Directorate for Digital Transformation, Artem Romaniukov, explained that through the Register, contracting authorities will be able to send out requests for price quotations and receive verified information about suppliers, while companies will receive all relevant requests in their electronic accounts. This, he noted, will make procurement access more transparent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why the Register is needed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reducing the risks of concluding contracts with unscrupulous suppliers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stimulating fair competition in the defence sector;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating a verified and up-to-date directory of suppliers for government customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who benefits and how<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Contracting authorities<\/strong> \u2014 secure access to up-to-date information on suppliers and risk assessment tools;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manufacturers<\/strong> \u2014 more transparent conditions for participation in defence procurement;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Military and political leadership<\/strong> \u2014 in the long term, comprehensive data on the defence industry&#8217;s capabilities to support decision-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Register will operate as a closed system with differentiated access rights, minimising the risk of sensitive information leaks and ensuring secure interaction among participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development Oksana Ferchuk explained that during wartime, information about manufacturers is particularly sensitive. As a result, in the past, contracting authorities often contacted suppliers directly or searched for them informally, thereby reducing competition and creating corruption and security risks.
