Ukrainian drone manufacturer VYRIY<\/a> has announced an update to its standard drone configuration with the introduction of a \u201ccruise\u2011control\u201d mode. The feature was developed at the request of the military and enhances the drones\u2019 resilience to electronic interference, the company announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the manufacturer, the software update has been available for all drones since 1 December. The mode is implemented at flight\u2011controller level and increases the rate of successfully completed missions even in cases of short\u2011term loss of control. The effectiveness of the cruise\u2011control mode has been confirmed by internal trials and field tests involving combat units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VYRIY\u2019s engineers estimate that the introduction of cruise control will boost overall drone performance by around 20%. The company notes that it is the first to implement such a solution at system level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VYRIY drone line\u2011up includes fibre\u2011optic drones with ranges of 10 and 15 km and kamikaze drones built on 8\u2011, 10\u2011 and 15\u2011inch frames.
