The relevant amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers\u2019 resolution were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmu.gov.ua\/news\/uriad-dozvolyv-fondu-innovatsii-zakupovuvaty-oboronni-tekhnolohii-bez-protsedur-zakupivel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">adopted<\/a> on 29 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, the government amended the \u201cSpecifics of public procurement\u201d applicable during martial law. From now on, the Innovation Development Fund will be able to directly acquire specialised innovative technologies \u2014 including robotics, unmanned systems, and dual-use or military-purpose developments \u2014 without holding competitive or simplified procurement procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, simplifying procurement will allow faster delivery of components for the development and testing of combat drones, ground robots and aquatic platforms. He said the decision would accelerate the adaptation of technologies to combat conditions and help save soldiers\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\" href=\"http:\/\/stage.thedefender.media\/en\/insights\/zeefe-gfv-interview\/\"><strong>Read more:<\/strong> This fund is helping Ukrainian dual-use startups go global: interview with Green Flag Ventures co-founder Justin Zeefe<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NEXT unit was established in the summer of 2025 as part of Brave1 in cooperation with the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection. Its goal is to implement and test Ukrainian technological developments directly in combat zones and to cooperate with military units for the rapid evaluation of new solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Innovation Development Fund is a state institution that finances the creation and implementation of technological solutions in the defence and security sectors. Through this fund, Brave1 supports Ukrainian developers of drones, robotics, artificial intelligence systems and other projects critical to strengthening the country\u2019s defence
