This plan was disclosed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tectonicdefense.com\/exclusive-ua1-launches-50m-ukraine-focused-fund\/?oly_enc_id=2026C9616790A2V\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Tectonic<\/a> and confirmed to Defender Media by the fund\u2019s co-founder, Lenore Karafa. According to her, the founders already have\u00a0$18 million in commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UA1 VC is a relatively new but very active player in the market of investments in Ukrainian defence tech startups. The fund emerged from stealth mode only a few weeks ago, during the Brave1 Defence Tech Valley 2025 investment summit. <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">On its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ua1.vc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">website<\/a>, the portfol<\/span>io&nbsp;features many well-known Ukrainian projects, including Swarmer, HIMERA, Airlogix, Buntar Aerospace, and Frontline Robotics. Overall, UA1 VC has announced investments in eight projects \u2014 five Ukrainian and three American. The fund\u2019s average check size is&nbsp;$300,000 to $750,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fund UA1 VC was founded in 2025 by U.S. Marine Corps veterans William\u202fMcNulty and Lenore Karafa. Before launching UA1 VC, McNulty spent three years assisting Ukraine through the charity White\u202fStork. \u201cOur mission is to transform Ukrainian frontline innovations into the arsenal of the free world,\u201d McNulty said in his post after DTV 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\" href=\"http:\/\/stage.thedefender.media\/en\/insights\/zeefe-gfv-interview\/\"><strong>Read more<\/strong>: This fund is helping accumulated $18 million the fund has already invested. \u201cI will keep that figure closed for now, since in the next 2-3 weeks it may rise significantly,\u201d she commented. \u201cWe are actively deploying capital now, since we are planning to raise more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, UA1 VC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/ua1-vc_ua1-invested-in-albacore-inc-yc-s25-to-activity-7384613351462629376-1HMr\/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_ios&amp;rcm=ACoAABysO4sBXiCgGDvnOFm_G_f5B1U53F-YBWM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced<\/a> that it participated in a round of funding for U.S. startup Albacore, which raised&nbsp;$6.5
