Ursula – a surface riverine drone developed by NoviTechNet

The Ukrainian company NoviTechNet is testing the compact surface drone Ursula. The drone boat is designed for both reconnaissance and combat missions — it can carry an explosive charge or other drones, the “Association of Ukrainian Engineers” reported.

The length of the boat is about a metre, and it can conduct reconnaissance on rivers, canals or coastal areas. As Defender Media has learned, “Ursula” can be used as a platform for various tasks. The boat can carry up to 9 kg of explosives — for example, an anti-tank mine — and remain in standby mode for up to two weeks.

The Association notes that the new boat can be effectively used during sabotage and reconnaissance operations in difficult conditions of the river network and frontline water areas.

The boat is still undergoing trials and testing, which the manufacturer plans to complete by the end of the summer and begin the codification process.

NoviTechNet also manufactures masts for radio antennas, electronic warfare systems, lighting equipment at heights of up to 16 metres, and has a heavy remotely controlled turret Tsvyakh in its portfolio.

It is also worth noting that from August 2025, Ukrainian military units will be able to exchange combat points earned for verified enemy defeats for UAVs, ground robotic complexes, and electronic warfare equipment of Ukrainian production.
