TAF Drones to launch mass production of ‘Last Mile’ autonomous targeting module

Ukrainian defence tech manufacturer TAF Drones has completed the codification of its Last Mile autonomous targeting module in accordance with NATO standards and the requirements of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Preparations for serial production are now underway.

The Last Mile module enables precise targeting even if communication is lost, the system is exposed to electronic warfare, or the target is in motion. It automatically guides the drone to both static and moving targets using day, night, and thermal imaging optics.

According to the manufacturer, the module ensures accuracy of up to one metre for stationary targets, maintains focus on objects moving at speeds of up to 120 km/h, and can track targets moving at up to 60 km/h in wind speeds of up to 10 m/s.

The module features intelligent trajectory correction, resistance to electronic warfare, full operational autonomy without loss of control, and a mission cancellation function. Target acquisition and tracking are possible from distances of up to 500 metres.

Last Mile is designed to simplify the operator’s task and can be mounted in a position convenient for operation. The company notes that the module significantly increases the effectiveness of combat missions under conditions of intense confrontation.
