American company Bell Helicopters will open an office in Ukraine and plans to assemble and repair helicopters here

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the American company Bell Helicopters (part of Textron Inc.) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of industrial cooperation in the field of aviation technologies. The document was signed during the AUSA 2025 international exhibition in Washington, according to the Ministry.

Bell Textron Inc plans to develop a production base in Ukraine for the assembly, maintenance and repair of helicopters. The company will begin preparations for production localisation, which includes opening a Bell representative office in Ukraine and establishing a Final Assembly and Check-Out (FACO) centre. In addition, the company will explore opportunities to establish a joint venture with Ukrainian partners, as well as to transfer technologies, equipment and tools necessary for production.

As part of the cooperation, training is also planned for Ukrainian engineers and technical specialists in the United States and at the future facility in Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Economy Vitalii Kindrativ noted that the signing of the Memorandum is a step towards the development of modern high-tech manufacturing, the expansion of industrial capacities and the attraction of investment in strategic sectors.

Bell Textron had already announced its intentions to cooperate in July this year. Previously, the company had also offered to sell Ukraine light attack helicopters 407M and AH-1Z Viper.
