The state concern Ukroboronprom has disclosed the technical specifications of the modernised RK360L cruise missile of the Neptune-D system, designed for strikes against ground targets. The presentation took place at one of the defence exhibitions, reports Defense Express.

The warhead of the cruise missile weighs 260 kg, which is 110 kg more than in the anti-ship version. The flight range has increased to 1,000 km compared to 280 km for the R-360 missile.

The dimensions of the RK360L have also changed: the missile’s length without the booster reaches 6 m, and the body diameter is 50 cm. The navigation system ensures flight over complex terrain and route execution without satellite navigation, as well as targeting ground objectives. Details of this solution are not disclosed.

The modification of the warhead and guidance system is reflected in the altered nose of the missile. In addition, the control surfaces have been enlarged, improving manoeuvrability given the increase in total mass.

It is worth noting that the official image of the Long Neptune appeared only on 24 August 2025, although reports of the missile’s combat use emerged earlier this year.
