Combat brigades of the Armed Forces will receive additional ₴1.89 bln from the Ministry of Defence for the purchase of drones
The total budget of the department for drones in 2024 will exceed ₴100 bln

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has allocated an additional ₴1.89 bln to combat brigades for the purchase of drones, reports the ministry’s official Telegram channel.
According to the Ministry of Defence, 55% of this amount will be spent on Mavic drones, including those with night vision. 18% of the funds will be used to purchase FPV kamikazes. Reconnaissance drones, bombers and other types of drones and spare parts will also be purchased.
The report states that the funds are allocated on the instructions of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov to provide the military formations with an additional amount of UAVs through decentralised procurement. The brigades will be able to purchase what they need to perform combat missions on their own, and the drones will be sent to the frontline immediately.
The total amount of money spent by the Ministry on drones in 2024 will exceed ₴100 bln.
