Founded in 2024, Stark has quickly positioned itself as one of the fastest-growing players in the global defence tech sector, with total funding now surpassing\u00a0$100 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company was founded by\u00a0Florian Seibel, the German entrepreneur who also heads\u00a0Quantum Systems, a drone manufacturer well known for its reconnaissance platforms used in Ukraine. Stark maintains offices in\u00a0Germany, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On\u00a014 April 2025, Stark came out of stealth, unveiling its first product: the\u00a0OWE-V Virtus, a strike UAV equipped with vertical take-off capability, an X-shaped wing configuration, a\u00a05kg warhead, and onboard\u00a0artificial intelligence\u00a0for targeting and navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\" href=\"http:\/\/stage.thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/04\/german-stark-presents-new-drone\/\"><strong>Related:<\/strong> Made in Germany, tested in Ukraine: what Stark OWE-V Virtus is and how it will work in combat<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of April,\u00a0Defender Media\u00a0published an <a href=\"http:\/\/stage.thedefender.media\/en\/2025\/04\/german-stark-presents-new-drone\/\">interview<\/a> with\u00a0Maksym Cherkis, Stark\u2019s Chief Operating Officer in Ukraine. He revealed that the Ukrainian unit is focused primarily on testing and evaluation of new products.
