Ukrainian company VARTA has unveiled its autonomous counter-drone platform, Dozor AI

The Ukrainian company VARTA has released a video of the Dozor AI interceptor drone platform, which is currently in the final phase of testing.

Dozor AI is described as a new generation anti-drone platform. It is an autonomous interceptor with an integrated detection, target identification and pursuit system based on artificial intelligence. It is reported that it will be able to independently locate and destroy enemy FPV and reconnaissance drones, even under electronic warfare conditions.

According to the developers, the drone can automatically detect hostile UAVs at a distance where the operator would not have time to react, and it provides guidance on targeting and engagement.

In the future, the system is expected to be integrated with situational awareness platforms, particularly DELTA. This will enable one operator to control a group of 5–7 interceptors, forming the concept of a so-called “small sky” – an air defence segment in which interceptor drones will play a key role.

It is also worth noting that in June VARTA unveiled its DroneHunter interceptor drone equipped with small arms. According to the company, it has an effective engagement range of 5 to 20 metres against small and medium-sized drones. The developer also offers an enlarged four-barrel version.
